nahbar can import contacts from your iPhone’s address book — iOS explicitly asks for your permission first, and all processing happens entirely on your device. Your contact list becomes an overview of the people who really matter to you.

For each person you keep track of what makes them who they are: likes and dislikes, interests, special dates. Before your next meetup, everything you’d otherwise juggle in your head is right at hand.

People who don’t belong in your address book can be created directly in the app — nahbar works perfectly fine without any import at all.

nahbar works with the OCEAN model, the established five-factor model of personality psychology. A questionnaire builds your own profile: recognize your strengths and patterns — and how you come across to others.

You can create personality profiles for your contacts too. That helps you gauge how someone ticks: does this person need closeness or space? Do they like to plan, or live in the moment?

The personality test is optional — since version 1.0.6 you can jump straight into the app without it and catch up whenever it suits you.

No moment gets lost: right after a meetup you note down what happened — quickly via the quick buttons in the Today view, with up to five photos per moment, and editable afterwards.

You rate every visit across four categories and record moods and impressions — exactly the way you experienced them. Honest, personal, and entirely for you.

Over time you’ll spot patterns in your relationships: who is good for you? Which encounters give you energy, and which drain it? nahbar helps you see what your relationships are really made of.

Everyday life is the biggest enemy of good intentions. nahbar reminds you in time when you haven’t seen or spoken to someone in a while — before “haven’t been in touch lately” turns into “lost contact”.

Recurring moments keep track of regular appointments: the monthly meetup with friends, the weekly call with your parents, game night. Set them up once and never think about them again.

To-dos for individual people live right in the Today view — from the recipe you promised to the birthday card.

Sometimes a small nudge helps: a suggestion for what to talk about at your next meetup, a gift idea just before a birthday, or a read on how an encounter felt. That’s exactly where AI in nahbar comes in.

On an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, nahbar uses Apple Intelligence directly on your device: your notes, your questionnaire answers, your impressions — none of it leaves your iPhone. No server, no cloud, no internet required.

On older iPhones, a vetted cloud service steps in — encrypted, without anything being stored there, and only with your explicit consent. In the settings you decide whether nahbar is allowed to go online at all. That choice is yours.

Everything you record in nahbar — contacts, notes, visits, personality profiles — is stored exclusively on your iPhone. There are no servers holding your data, no automatic cloud sync, and no user account.

Third-party tracking tools are not built in — no analytics SDKs, no ad networks, no external crash reporters. There is no third party collecting data about you in the background.

The only data ever sent anywhere happens when you actively use an AI feature and your iPhone needs the cloud for it — and even that only with your consent. Purchases run entirely through Apple; we never see any payment data.
